Carolina is Founding Partner & CEO of According2Law.

She has more than 20 years of experience, specializing in criminal law, dispute resolution and arbitration, local and international anticorruption and compliance matters.

She also has the experience of having worked at the Economic, Corruption, and Tax Crimes Prosecutor´s office in San José, Costa Rica, and completed an internship at the Fraud and Corruption Division of the prosecutor’s office in Munich, Germany.

Carolina worked in Litigation, Criminal Law and Anticorruption teams as partner at Dentons Muñoz.
 

Activities and affiliations

• President of the Costa Rican Technical National Committees for the implementation of the Antibribery Management System  (ISO 37001), the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301) and the Whistleblowing Managing System (ISO37002).

• Secretary for the TC309 Developing Countries Co-Ordination Group, which will focus on the current and future standardization needs of developing countries.

• First President and one of the founders of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, Chapter Costa Rica. 

• Member of the Anti-Illicit Trade Committee of the Costa Rican-American Chambers of Commerce (AMCHAM).

• Member of the Latin America Steering Committee in representation of Costa Rica in the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge.

• Former Member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the HNBA Ethics and Compliance Committee.

• Former Member of the Anti-Corruption Sub-Committee of the Costa Rican Government initiative “Gobierno Abierto”, representing UCCAEP (2017).

• Former Member of Factor f m, Costa Rican-American Chambers of Commerce (AMCHAM).

• Former Member of Arbitral Women.

• Former Curator Ad Litem approved by the Costa Rican Supreme Court of Justice.
